	The Man From U.N.C.L.E. [1965] Se flere produkter fra Amazon Fans of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. felt doubly blessed in 1965. Not only did its second series debut in colour, but there was also the first of several spin-off movies. The Spy with My Face thrilled audiences with "The August Affair", a plot to replace Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn) with a look-alike. The movie's only disappointment in this golden year for the show was the inexplicable absence of its catchy theme tune. By the third series the show had strayed too far into the campness of Batman, which also started in 1966. One Spy Too Many demonstrated the rush to cash-in on success before the bubble burst. This second theatrical release actually consists of two TV episodes, and played on US small screens first. This then became the pattern for the later movies, although what played where on international TV in episodic fashion becomes extremely complicated. The Karate Killers features Joan Crawford, Herbert Lom and Telly Savalas in a search for a secret formula (from Series 3). The Helicopter Spies pits Solo and Kuryakin (David McCallum) against two criminal masterminds (culled from Series 4). How to Steal the World is very much a finale, in that it comes from the very last episode. It rather shows, too, with only Leslie Nielsen looking serious about his art. It's no top secret that The Man from U.N.C.L.E.'s finest hours came early; the same certainly goes for these movies. Nevertheless, the gadgets are always great, the girls easy on the eye and the two leads superb in their chemistry together. On the DVD: The Man From U.N.C.L.E. has survived pretty well for its DVD incarnation. Although there's some grain and artefacts evident in the print, colours are bright and the image is generally sharp. Some work has gone into providing fun fan material, but unfortunately it's all via DVD-ROM and in PDF format. 	The Doors Of The 21st Century - L.A. Woman Live [2004] Se flere produkter fra Amazon Purists may scoff at The Doors of the 21st Century, but for those who believe in second chances, this concert succeeds as both reunion and revival of one of the greatest rock bands in history. Replacing the late, great Jim Morrison is a daunting task, but the addition of British vocalist Ian Astbury (who bears more than passing resemblance to Morrison) is a risk that pays off surprisingly well during this 102-minute gig, superbly recorded in Houston, Texas, during the band's 2003 world tour. Astbury respects Morrison's legacy, but wisely avoids slavish re-creation of "the Lizard King"'s inimitable style; he's paying affectionate tribute while channeling his own vocal energy into Morrison's poetry. In performing the entirety of the Doors' classic L.A. Woman along with other timeless hits, keyboardist Ray Manzarek and guitarist Robby Krieger (drummer John Densmore moved on to a variety of solo projects; he's replaced here by Ty Dennis) make good on a 32-year-old promise to give Doors fans the tour that Morrison's death pre-empted, adding what the Doors never officially had: a bass player (Angelo Barbera) to re-create the LP's rhythm section. The band's in excellent form here, so let the naysayers whine; this DVD proves that new Doors are better than no Doors at all. --Jeff Shannon Fragt: Ukendt!	Pris 83.91,-
	Law & Order - The First Seasons (L&O, L&O SVU, L&O CI) [1999] Se flere produkter fra Amazon Law & Order From its gritty documentary look to its signature note-knocking "tching-tching" that signals scene changes, Law & Order was a groundbreaking cop show when it debuted in 1990. It has since earned Emmys for Best Dramatic Series and spun off satellite franchises, and reruns of the original series are as omnipresent in syndication as those of I Love Lucy. Law & Order is television's most resilient series. It has survived wholesale changes to its ensemble. One of the secrets of the show's durability: its compelling structure. The first half of each hour-long episode is classic police procedural in which "Law," personified in the first season by partners Greevey (George Dzundza--and be sure to catch the interview segment with series creator Dick Wolfe to learn how to pronounce his name) and Mike Logan (Christopher Noth, the future "Mr. Big" on Sex and the City) investigate a crime and make an arrest. The second half chronicles the ensuing trial, as prosecuted by assistant district attorneys Ben Stone (Michael Moriarty) and Paul Robinette (Richard Brooks) under the supervision of Steven Hill's Adam Schiff (more feisty and animated here than in later seasons). Law & Order is also distinguished by its superb writing. Several episodes take their inspiration from the headlines, including "By Hooker, By Crook" about a socialite-run call-girl ring, and "Indifference," which recalls the tragic Lisa Steinberg child abuse case. Others deal with such hot-button issues as abortion ("Life Choice") and AIDS ("The Reaper's Helper"). Another plus is the talent pool of character actors who lend their verisimilitude. Guest stars include Samuel L.
