Sharp LC-52LE700UN

The first LED TV LCD Sharp, thumb-thick XS-series, launched last year with an MSRP of $ 11,000 to cool the 52-inch. LED has become much more common than, and sharp ambitions for the good backlight technology are commercialized.

The Sharp uses various technologies backlight LED of another LED TV before, and maybe so image quality has a significant advantage over non-LCD LED. On the other hand, it sips power more sparingly than any other television monitor, and solid feature set is highlighted by a unique selection of widgets and excellent construction – support. The Sharp LC-Series LE700UN we appeal to people with a moderate budget, but I want the efficiency of a screen LCD LED back.

Sharp LC-52LE700UN Review

The glossy black surface of the LC-LE70UN Series design wise not break any new ground, and sharp is inclined edges of its predecessors, such as the LC-46D85U. A silver medal melted the lower part provides a very subtle tones and a light blue triangle, which reminds us that the badges worn by the crew out of business with the company logo in the center of the lower (blue lighting can be disabled disabilities BE). Sharp matching glossy black stand can rotate the panel.

To help you see a display of the Samsung and I believe that all lights are also extremely thin LCD; Sharp LC-LE700UN series is one of many phrases that indicate the contrary. It measures 3.7 inches deep not stand, which is quite normal for a flat screen TV technology.

Sharp was the largest of all producers of television as we know, since the changes went to the remote. The LC-Clicker 46LE700UN is basically the same as 2006 comes with the LC-46D62U, the same number of years at the time. Our view has not changed, so I’ll just mention that the review: The Sharp long distance is known to all those who Aquos over the last two years has played. We say generally because the basic control parameter is hidden aspect clearly at the top of the large strain, which has given the gel images, very much near the main directions of the keyboard, and an image hidden within flip-up hatch .

Sharp design of the menu is basically the same as in previous years, and the block of pixels shown in connection with fluid navigation from Sony and Samsung. The necessary information is all there, though, wanted to accompany the text explanations of different options.

LED-backlit high on the list of amenities the Sharp LC-LE700UN, but not like the others with LED-backlit TV published in the past. All other LED LCD screens fall into one of two camps lit: acne, or local dimming. The LED elements mounted behind the screen, over the edge, but individual dimming or brightening disabled. As standard fluorescent backlit LCD, the Sharp LED-backlit screen is dark or light at a time. The biggest advantage of LED-backlit display is easy to reduce energy consumption.

The Sharp LC-LE700UN sports 120Hz refresh rate to provide improved resolution compared to standard screens LCD – but I suspect it will be difficult to see the difference. The refresh rate also allows the TV to correct the tone of voice when fed to display 1080p/24 material. The size of the two largest Sharp LC-LE700UN series, the 46 – and 52-inch models have dejudder and treatment, while two smaller 40 – and 32-inch models do not. Dejudder available in two levels in 46 – and 52-inch models, and it must do to achieve the benefits of 120Hz for ant blurring. See Performance for more details.

Pressing the button on the remote control through a clean cycle nested view (the widget is a small bar at the bottom right is limited) are side-by-Side View (about half the screen by the interface widget, the other half occupied by the program) full screen, and convert the whole widget. You can deposit cash for change, only the widgets you want included. A small toolbar in full Half-ways and display that mimics a kind of mini-browser to navigate to the service, and relatively easy to change the basic configuration, the size of the text, for example.

Our first impressions were overwhelmingly positive Aquos Net. We liked the market widget, for example, which shows real time traffic updates on our case. No other interactive TV has a similar service (Verizon Wireless service is a widget traffic, but it is) that the headlines and not the full map. The weather was also more detailed than other widgets we’ve seen, and includes a Doppler radar map of the area. The titles were unbundled, but got the job done. The widget Picasa works well, fast loading photos and slideshows us with excellent resolution.

Images nested widget was also rather disappointing, especially since some are only six buttons for the widgets on the screen to start the processing of their information tailored to – and while some showed widget personalized traffic information for Philadelphia, it was not for proximity that are scheduled in New York. We expect that such services over time to improve, but so far seems to be some half-hearted.

Instead, dull sound, text may appear in heavy competition with Yahoo Widgets. But when it comes to widgets, we will very quickly every day. Aquos Net had a misfire, including occasional freezes, and the inability to use the remote keyboard for data tedious instead of using a virtual keyboard.

In addition to widgets, there are a number of advanced features supported by the best on-line help; we’ve seen to include any HDTV. The highlight is a feature called Aquos Advantage Live. When you choose, you are free telephone service and a unique connection numbers you personal customer service. The representative can then connect to your TV and remote control, go into service AV, make picture adjustments, on / off the mutual fund, read the error codes for troubleshooting and see what device can to connect to the TV is connected via HDMI, and even correct them, to some extent – to support the resolutions of the user the best performance in a cable box, for example (HDMI digital connection Gang identification but will not) with other types of work. We tested the system and it worked well with the representative, who leads us through the changes in real time, while we press a button.

Advanced users can not share the idea of someone who tools around the TV (EPR can make changes Nuke settings of your image, for example, we had our TV sample to zero, based on recalibrated our demo), but beginners will live with love to help keep there, the virtual hands.

A full color management system available, along with a Fine Motion Enhanced context, the resolution of the movement has improved somewhat, and a parameter that remains is to change the image to optimize a dynamic contrast (by us), five positions Gamma control Four varieties of noise reduction and Sharp special monochrome setting that turns everything black and white. Finally, 2:3 pull mode strip-down control for the 46 – and 52-inch models in the series, dejudder treatment. The program includes four options for the ratio for HD sources, including one called point by point; we propose the use of ladders, 1080i and 1080p sources, because no Over scans correctly.

Overall, the Sharp LC-LE700UN did relatively well in this category, but I could not very accurate in most other lines in our area. The main problem was the amount of gray in the light areas, which seem to be less accurate than calibration. When connecting to the hotel to visit Strawberry Fields in Chapter 16, for example, areas such as white walls and gray floors, and very pale skin Fields », states also dyed blue-red side of the other. The Sharp has a good job with the colors of the other side, the green plants in the hotel room and the blue of the sky quite well.

Also found that sectors explain LE700UN SC blue-red color, very dark and black as the moon rises over the party in Chapter 17, which was greater than seen at the edges lighter areas. However, discoloration is not as obvious as the blue we saw in black areas and nearly black screens for LCD Standard (B650 Samsung and LG LH50), but worse than (and other LED Plasma).

This category has the Sharp score well. He decided to wait for all the details of the form of DVD, and the test recording our album a stone bridge and grass more details were shown. It reduces the jaggies in diagonal lines and road areas are waving a flag of the United States, better than the Toshiba and Panasonic, which is not as good as the Samsung. Sharp claims the action works well to eliminate noise and snow from low-quality shots of skies and sunsets, but the setting is not high to soften the image more than any other similar parameters ever. Movie mode kicks and quickly joins 2:3 down.

Final Words and Conclusion

Accepted via analog, the LC-LE700UN to 1600 x1200-pixel resolution source, although the highest resolution large screen, you can display is 1366 x 768 pixels. As expected, the text looked a little soft for each of these resolutions are far from accepting the parent group 1920 x1080 pixels can – Resolution on many other LCD displays via analogue. HDMI is provided essentially, 080 1920 x1 pixel perfect image DisplayMate, as expected, no overflow or EDGE expansion. We have tested the power consumption of this magnitude the Sharp LC-LE700UN series, but should test the model of 46 inches.
